Are you struggling to find balance and control?
The pressures of modern life can be all consuming. The endless news cycle, the impossibility of work/life balance, trying to manage family and social commitments. Whether it’s grief, stress, anxiety, or something else entirely, when you’re experiencing additional stressors in life, it can feel draining, exhausting, and paralyzing. I help people restore balance and regain control of their lives.
Providing you with a safe space to process
If you have been carrying too much, let me help you ease your burden. If you find yourself stuck, let’s explore what’s holding you in one place. This is a safe place where you can talk about what you’ve been through, and together we can find a path forward.
Fully remote, from the comfort of your own home
We’ll meet via video chat, in a secure, HIPAA compliant online conference room.
What causes grief?
Although grief can certainly be caused by the death of a loved one, it can be caused by many other types of loss as well. Sometimes grief is felt after the loss of a friendship or a job, a big move, or other significant life transitions. A divorce, the loss of a dream, the loss of safety after a trauma. These are all griefs that deserve compassionate evaluation.
"Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve."
— Earl Grollman
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
I’m exhausted, no matter how much I sleep
I feel overwhelmed with everyday tasks
I am irritable and easy to anger
I feel like I can’t relax, and I’m always worried about something
I have an all-encompassing feeling of sadness that I cannot shake, and it’s difficult to focus on anything else, even things I really love
I’m isolating myself from others, and not engaging with the people I enjoy spending time with
If any of these feel like they ring true for you, it may be time to reach out for assistance and support. You do not have to navigate this journey alone.
What will therapy look like?
My goal is to partner with you, in a judgement-free, brave space. Our work together will be collaborative, and solution-focused. Sometimes we may need to revisit challenging times, but we will always do so in a safe, supportive way. Our job together is to find what thoughts, behaviors, or issues are standing in the way of your happiness and vitality, and to come up with solutions to move past whatever may be holding you back.
